About Nicholas
Nicholas Stooshinoff was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan and grew up in Yorkton and North Battleford. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 1978 and LL.B. in 1981, both from the University of Saskatchewan, and later obtained an LL.M. from King’s College at the University of London in 1992. He established and practiced with the firm Stooshinoff & Associates for many years before joining Lakefield LLP as counsel in 2020.
Nicholas has had a long and prestigious legal career in Saskatchewan, practicing primarily as a trial lawyer in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, personal injury, estate litigation, administrative law and professional discipline. He is an esteemed litigator and handles complicated and high-profile matters for a variety of clients. Nicholas has served in many roles in the community, including as past President of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. He received his Queen’s Council (Q.C.) designation in 2015 in recognition of his public service and many contributions to the legal profession.
